Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories and the use of child victims in court settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous awards and grants. She has advised a variety of authorities and government agencies around all over the world on policy as well as research related to the treatment of child victims in the justice system. She is a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly known as Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional organizations, including Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
